ROBERT E. DANIEL JOINS ARMAO, COSTA & RICCIARDI, CPAs

Garden City-based Armao, Costa & Ricciardi, CPAs, P.C., has welcomed Robert E. Daniel to the firm. Daniel, a resident of Dix Hills, New York, is a Payroll Auditor and is responsible for verifying the accuracy of the reports and contributions submitted by labor union clients and to determine that contributions have been properly remitted for all covered work.

Prior to joining the firm, Daniel was a staff auditor with the Melville accounting firm of Nawrocki Smith, LLP. There, his clients included not-for-profits, school districts and local government entities. His duties involved analyzing and reviewing financial activities, processes, policies, procedures and controls for productivity improvements and risk mitigation, as well as audits, claims verification and year end summary reporting.

Earlier in his career, Daniel was a junior cost accountant at Aeroflex Incorporated in Plainview. In that role he generated financial reports, managed product lines, conducted audits and prepared cost reports to advise on efficiency and waste, among other duties.

Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. In addition to his position at Armao, Costa & Ricciardi, the bulk of his time is spent studying for the CPA exam. His personal interests include technology, martial arts, volleyball, his red-nosed Doberman, Max, and stable of horses at his home.
