Lisa M. Ricciardi, CPA, a founding partner of Armao, Costa, & Ricciardi, CPAs, P.C., has been providing professional services including auditing, accounting, tax, and consulting to businesses and individual for more than twenty years.

Areas of Specialization:
Lisa has particular expertise advising clients in the construction and construction related industries and has a diverse background serving manufacturers, not-for-profit organizations, professional service firms and wholesalers. Among her clients are general contractors, trade contractors, real estate developers/managers, religious organizations, unions, employee benefit plans, service professionals, retailers, wholesalers, title companies and information technology consultants. She also provides consulting on wealth management and succession planning to the owners of privately held and family owned businesses.

Lisa’s employs her strategic tax planning knowledge to cost segregation studies and other methods to enable clients to minimize tax burdens and gain unclaimed government tax incentives. As a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the American College of Forensics Examiners, she is also uniquely qualified to respond to clients’ needs with regard to forensic engagements and has helped several clients uncover unauthorized activity.

Professional Achievements:
Lisa is a Certified Construction Auditor (CCA), a designation granted by National Association of Construction Auditors (NACA). CCA status recognizes those professionals who focus on accounting, auditing and consulting and whose primary experience is in the field of auditing and evaluating internal controls in the construction project environment. Only members of NACA are eligible for certification; they are senior professionals who meet a stringent set of requirements, which include experience, continuing education, specialty training and professional designations.

Lisa is a frequent lecturer and author on topics of accounting and auditing for the construction industry, as well as asset protection, estate planning and business succession. She has been featured in Long Island Business News’  “Who’s Who in Accounting” and “Who’s Who in Women” and was named one of “Long Island’s 50 Most Influential Women in Business” in 2008 and 2011 by the publication. Also in 2011, Lisa was named a “Businesswoman of Excellence” by NAWBO, the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Her professional memberships include the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA), Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), National Association of Women in Construction, Regional Alliance for Small Contractors, American College of Forensic Examiners, American Board of Forensic Accounting and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She served on the Loan Executive Assistance Program Committee of the Regional Alliance for Small Contractors, a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to small, minority and women owned companies within the construction industry. She was voted Member of the Year for the National Association of Women in Construction and served as treasurer and vice president of the group’s Long Island Chapter. Lisa is also sits on the board of Commerce Plaza, a unique, hands-on educational program that introduces children to the business community through a simulated work environment.

Lisa’s contributions to the community extends to several organizations that include the Jones Beach Power Squadron and the Town of Oyster Bay W.A.K.E. U.P. environmental program which helps clean and protect area waterways. She also volunteers her time and support to food and clothing drives for the Interfaith Nutrition Network (“The INN”) and fundraisers for Nontraditional Employment for Women (NEW).

Education:
Lisa earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Hofstra University.
